This food stall is definitely like that. Some of the best scallion pancakes I’ve ever had-super flaky, chewy, and crispy, but not too heavy and greasy. Got egg, basil, ham, and cheese, and added all three sauces. Very good and filling snack for a great price. Owner was super nice as well, very friendly and clearly knew his craft well. Understandably a classic for scallion pancakes, and it’s recognition is not by chance. Definitely a must try if you’re in the area and are looking for scallion pancakes.

After wandering the streets of Taiwan for two weeks, we came to this place because we wanted homemade, from scratch scallion pancakes. This place is recommended by the Michelin guide as well. They were closed when we initially came, so we were going to go home but saw the line forming before the stall opened so we decided to wait. The scallion pancake is almost noodle like: it falls apart and is so light and chewy. Gosh. I want to eat it again. Besides, the staff were super sweet and it seems like a very well run operation--we didn't wait long. So far, we haven't found another that comes even close...
