Hualien City, Hualien County｜Mei Lun Black Tea

The well-known Hualien Meilun Egg Cake is closed every Thursday. Today is Wednesday, so the employees in the store are all wearing uniforms with "Closed Tomorrow" written in large characters, which is ingenious. It's a bit late, it closes at 11 o'clock, and I didn't arrive until 10:50 o'clock. Fortunately, the signature omelette and peanut soup are still available. Came here expecting a normal breakfast, turned out to be an unexpected meal. Their omelette crust is not the usual flat slices in the market, but a bit thicker. It tastes a bit like the more Q-like Carrot Cake. It is fried with eggs and served with garlic soy sauce on the table. It is very good and is exclusive. Because of the taste of Hualien, at least I haven't eaten such an omelet until now. Peanut soup is served warm and iced, and there are no ice cubes for iced products. It tastes like Ai O flavored milk peanuts, and the similarity is probably 80%. The wooden tongue can't taste it. But I like milk peanuts, so there is nothing to be picky about. The omelette is 20 yuan, and the peanut soup is 30 yuan. It is quite affordable and more than enough for breakfast. If you have the opportunity to go to Hualien, you can stop by and taste the authentic Hualien breakfast.

So far the best meal we had in Taiwan. Traditional breakfast made with love and care. Very systematic flow even with a queue. You will soon get to order once you wait patiently in line. Worth a visit if your at Hualien. Had our breakfast here twice, this is how good this place is.
