Yes and Yes. This little shop hidden away in Nanzi District has, by far, the best xiaolongbao (小籠包) in Taiwan. Yes...Taiwan. The combination of flavors in the dumpling, to include their delicious broth, creates the perfect dumpling. They even provide a special sauce for those that want to add an extra kick to the flavor. I had my fill and then took home a bag of frozen dumplings to try to recreate the experience later. They use the traditional method of steaming the dumplings in bamboo baskets. And much like other businesses in Taiwan, this one is family owned and operated. I'll be back.
