You can't miss this little stall as it seems there is always a queue. You may need to wait a while as the uncle takes his time to painstakingly roll and cook the pancakes two at a time to get the right crispiness. Scallion pancake is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It's not light though as I found with all Taiwanese pancakes. NTD 50 for half a piece (very big piece) and it's pretty filling for 2 person. For a whole piece the price is NTD 100.

There are literally hundreds of places selling scallions pancakes around Taiwan. This was my first time trying one made from flax millet and it was surprisingly delicious, tasted lighter and not as greasy as the regular ones. Good texture with crispy outer layers!

Amazing Scallion pancake. The fluffy yet crispy texture is definitely the highlight of my food trip in Tamshui. Every bite reveals different flavour profile: savoury soy sauce, fragrant green onion.... Yumminess in every bite. Highly recommended.
