Shilin District, Taipei City｜Willie's Deli (G&G)

A little gem in the Tien Mu area. Relaxed atmosphere for a snack, drink or dinner. Good selection of jazz in the background. It’s a deli combined with a food store with hard to find western products. The food is very good quality. Sandwiches are delicious and served on fresh bread. They have an inexpensive deli plate that goes well with a drink. I had the roast beef dinner this evening, which was very tasty. A nice traditional weekend meal. Beer is the cheapest in town (NT$150 for the first pint, NT$100 thereafter). Food prices are reasonable given that the meal selection is almost unique for Taipei. Definitely recommended.

G&G has great food and a good atmosphere to enjoy lunch or dinner. They also have an excellent selection of hard to get items from overseas. The English Library (TEL) is located in the basement. They have over 2,000 English books, magazines and English study material available. They teach English daily as well as online classes. Stop in and ask for Gary and get a 10% discount on your meal.

Like a previous post mentioned, this place is a gem.. a jewel.. a diamond in the rough if u like (not that tian mu is particularly rough tho 😉 )
