2nd of 10 Taiwan eating enjoyment. Delicious & good value Japanese style eels in Taipei. Every dish is freshly prepared, well cooked & very tasty. Ordered a large serve of eels & really enjoyed the meal. Try to get there before lunch time. Hope you like seafood such as eels.

Came here with two friends haven't met for long time. Stood in line for about 30+ minutes. Unadon (Unagi Donburi, 鰻魚飯) is a must order. Sashmi plate, grilled markeral, and grilled giant squid are all too delicious. The restaurant is over 50 years and still is the most popular place for Unadon. Ask anybody in Taipei and they will tell you this is the place to visit. My friends told me the owner is a Japanese and they prepare fresh cuts of eels every single day. Price is very reasonable, food is super tasty, but this is not a place for you and your friends to dine and have a long conversation. The restaurant is super busy and moving in a fast paced fashion. But if you're looking for a quick dinner for authentic Japanese food, this is the place you won't want to miss.

The eel rice is definitely the star of this restaurant!! The eel is nicely roasted and the sauce is fantastic! Service is good and fast. They serve the food so nicely but in a fast manner. The raw oyster with the special sauce was so good and the fried one was juicy too. The prawns are fresh but having the shell sticked to the meat after grilled takes a few mins to peel. hahah the price is definitely very affordable.
