Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan｜Nukumi

Of course, the food quality here is excellent, beautifully presented, with seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients and service that is unintrusive but attentive. But where Nukumi really stands out is in attention to the small details — the 一口生ビール tiny draft beer, the Saba with the barely-noticeably Shiso mixed into the wasabi, the miso soup with an esoteric Hokkaido seaweed we had never tasted before. Nukumi is not perfect — the atmosphere felt a bit clinical and we would have enjoyed a more convivial atmosphere outside of the private room. But it was the most notable meal we’ve had in Hokkaido for some time and we look forward to returning.

Very nicely decorated restaurant with good quality of food. Staff is good and the environment is also tranquil, neat and tidy. We have a room with excellent service
