Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan｜三角山五衛門ラーメン Goemon-ramen

Goemon is another small ramen restaurant, but this one was an unexpected highlight. I was a bit skeptical of the old, hole-in-the-wall facade, but encouraged by the smell of boiling broth outside the shop and other positive reviews, we stopped in and ordered their recommended Chicken Salt Chashu Ramen for 1050¥. And I was thoroughly impressed! The broth was medium-light but had a ton of lovely chicken flavor, perhaps akin to chicken soup without the creaminess and excessive saltiness. The chashu was decent and it was quite a nice portion overall. I highly recommend this place if you’re in Sapporo!

This place is for everyone who likes a small family owned ramen shop that has a counter, a kitchen and just excellent ramen. I personally love the smaller shops that offer a more local and authentic flair and this one I really enjoyed. Try the ramen, you won't be disappointed!

Had a very nice experience at this ramen shop. Although it seems small, the ramen there is very flavourful and the noodles are very bouncy and chewy. The atmosphere is also very nice and cozy and the owner is very kind and friendly. Overall 10/10 experience at this ramen shop
