VERY Yummy ramen that I have ever taken before. Generally I do not like Hokkaido Ramen because the pork soup is oily and bear very strong pig's smell. Cannot take any bite of soup after taking the Ramen. Furthermore, I do not like Hokkaido thick noodle and its soap smell if the cooking water is repeatedly used. However, their Ramen (they call it Soba) is thin, soap smell free but not very chewy. Their soup is very tasty and full of fragrance of chicken. Very yummy. Do not forget to take several bite of soup before taking noodles. Their oyster and clam Ramen is even better than chicken Ramen in my opinion. The soup is clear but tasty and full of seafood fresh smell. There are 2 pieces each of chicken breast and BBQ pork, 3 clams and 2 oysters compared to chicken Ramen which has 2 pieces of chicken breast and some vegetables. But you only pay ¥200 more. A very highly recommended Ramen shop !

So happy to find a Ginza Kagari branch open in Sapporo, especially since I wasn’t able to try it in Tokyo. Very rich chicken paitan ramen and quick service! Felt that the truffle oil was not really multiplicative to the dish, I’d like to try getting the regular chicken paitan at some point.

This place has changed my view on soup noodles, a dish I don’t really like that much. Ginza Kagari changed that in an instant for me. I ordered the soy chicken broth soba, with an extra Aji Egg and a plate of Karage (Japanese fried chicken). Where do I start? The chicken broth is so good that I wept with joy. It was flavorful and had an intense umami to it. I am sure that many hours were put into brewing this broth to perfection. The soba was light and springy, with a satisfying chew to it. The Aji egg was also superbly prepared with a delicious soft, mildly salty golden orange-yellow yolk. If you are near Sapporo station, try their chicken broth soba, as it’s truly worth it, even at 1000 yen a bowl. It’s truly unique and no other ramen has even come close to this one. I wanted to knock off half a star for the fact that they don’t serve the miso chicken broth noodles anymore, but that’s me being a little petty.
