Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan｜Yu (Chicken broth soba)

The 雞白湯 is so good . Chicken meat I don’t know how it’s soft but like barbecue . Strongly suggest add chicken egg with 梅子rice also amazing . I will miss it when I back to Taiwan. 我吃飽了啦

Sapporo is city famous for ramen. There’s lot of famous ramen restaurants in the tourist area. I choose this localised restaurant because it’s specialised on the chicken broth soup. A tiny small restaurant with 11 seats, only provides Japanese menu. You need to pay via the machine during the queue up time. A popular restaurant and always with long queue, no worries, the turnover time is quick. The signature white chicken broth is really delicious and costs 920yens, you can choose the set with fried chicken and rice. I will definitely return when I visit Sapporo. The staff is very helpful and guides you all the process. Just few minutes walk to the riverside and you can see the beautiful night view of Sapporo city centre

After visiting the Sapporo factory we walked about half an hour to get here, and it was completely worth it. My wife had the classic chicken broth, but the real star is the miso chicken broth. The combination works so astoundingly well and is perfectly balanced in flavor. I also had the chicken over rice bowl with a beautiful orange egg yolk on top, it was the perfect side dish. Yu is on my list of favorites alongside Tori Paitan in Osaka, both being the best soba we have had on our month long trip.
