7th floor of midtown hibiya Reservations were made about 2 months in advance via pocket concierge. Seated in central room which was beautiful but having the 7th floor view would've been nice too Had the tea pairing. All the teas were smooth but didn't really pair with the dish at least to my taste. The food and presentation was exceptional. I had such a wonderful experience. Hard for me to imagine why this place only has 4 stars instead of 4.5 on google. It was about 450 per person with the tea pairing. I think it was definitely worth the experience and I'd go again. Got some ryugin chopsticks and Fuji water out of the experience and bought some soy sauce after the meal.

Probably one of the best restaurant in Tokyo. Every dish is elegant, well prepared and with excellent ingredients from all over Japan. The chef is passionate about highliting Japanese specialties and he does perfectly. The personnel is very kind and professional. The place is traditional.

We loved our dining experience at RyuGin. The extensive tasting menu featured ingredients from all parts of Japan. The food was delicious. Many of the dishes combined classic flavors as well those more unique and challenging but still appealing to all. The sake/wine pairing was also excellent with some very unique, beautiful glassware. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend RyuGin for fine dining in Tokyo.
