A really good yakiniku restaurant. A5 wagyu for ¥1500~ is a steal. Staffs are very friendly, they can’t speak English yet very helpful and tried their best! Highly recommended!

There are many yakiniku (Korean BBQ) restaurants, but our favorite is Gyutetsu. They have a good and varied menu with a number of selections of kalbi, roast, lamb, scallops, and various vegetables, with different dip sauces to choose from. Also, their kimchi selections are all different. We usually order a couple of plates of kalbi, lamb, scallops, vegies, a variety plate of kimchi that goes well with rice, and one of my favorites, yukke (raw horse tartare with a raw egg yolk on top that you mix in). There is a grill on your table, so you cook the meats, scallops and vegies yourself (not the yukke, of course). And don't forget the Yebisu beer. Gyutetsu is moderately priced and the wait help is attentive, polite, and quick. Give it a try. You'll be happy you did.
