More Comments at Google MapI have been interested in the restaurant with local food from Fukui. I know well about Fukui but Mihama is a bit far from central Fukui so I hadn’t had chances to get local food from there that much. I was amazed at how good the food was, most of them were based on local food but like a fusion of traditional foods and new foods. It’s so nice to be able to have local sake. Staff are not from Fukui but they seem to have learned local food and sake from the area and it was fun to hear their recommendations:) I’ll definitely visit there soon.
Small restaurant located outside Tokyo station. Looks like this is where People getting off of work come to hang out before heading home. Lots of drinking here. This seems to be the norm and you must have some beers and some Small plates as they serve tapas style. Don't forget to order the French fries as they come with some kind of seasoning out of this world. The staff is very efficient and fast. For such a small place. Customers were friendly and wanted to conversate with us. Tourists is they seem to want to practice their English. This place is located on a side of the station, so you must look for It. Right across the street from some high-end hotels. And a short. Walk from the stations taxi stands.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and creative dishes! Located right under the train tracks at Tokyo Station on the Marunouchi side, this izakaya stood out amongst the other ones lining the street for its younger, fun crowd. Might be a bit hard for foreign tourists to order because the menu is only in Japanese, but after trying a few dishes I'm pretty convinced you could point at anything and it'd be good. 😁 It opens till late so if you're done with a day of sightseeing and want to grab a bite and a drink this would be a great choice. Try the warayaki (straw grilled) camembert cheese. The traditional grilling technique gives the cheese a smokey flavour. Other highlights for me were the pakuchi (parsley) and kiwi salad which I would never have thought to pair together, and the ebi (shrimp) dashitama, which is the most flavourful scrambled egg dish I've had in a while.
