A very retro place located just right by the Odakyu station exit Machida Station. The place is old but famous. This has a second floor with steep stairs. There is no buzzer so you’ll have to use a gong to order. The bottom part has a counter for regular guests and where some pre cooked food are displayed. The food was good and reasonable, they also serve Sake from Niigata.

When I tried to come to this place in 2019, I couldn’t because it was full every time. And no wonder: the food is tasty and the sake selection is good. At reasonable prices, too. There are now plastic partitions separating pairs of counter seats from each other and the restaurant is less packed than it was last year.

An ideal U-shaped izakaya. The magic of this restaurant is that you can enter at 5pm and leave at 7pm, but end up drinking until after 10pm. All the dishes are really delicious. Maybe the sake you ordered wasn't available, or the food took a long time to prepare? Maybe the order just wasn't there? I don't know, but if you don't get what you asked for, it's better to think of it as a default. Should I wait for it to come out? Do you want me to remind you? It is difficult to judge. If the alcohol doesn't come out, the only thing you can do is ask for it right away.
