Higashiyamato, Tokyo, Japan｜福でん 東大和店

Wow, this place is great! Definitely off the beaten path for most Tokyo tourists, but I wandered in here not knowing what to expect and 恵 (Megumi) speaks English quite well and helped me work through the Japanese menu. If you end up in Higashiyamato-shi for some reason, definitely check this place out! It's a true izakaya for the locals, but you don't have to be Japanese to get great service.

Although it's not a restaurant that attracts young people, both the staff and customers are lively. There seem to be a lot of regulars, but even first-timers are warmly welcomed and the atmosphere doesn't make you feel intimidated. The level of communication is high. The menu is extensive, so if you like Japanese food, you can't go wrong. My favorite store. it's recommended.
