Koganei, Tokyo, Japan｜鬼無里小金井店

This is an izakaya that I found while walking around the station. I was intrigued by the Showa-esque retro atmosphere, so my wife and I went in. The inside of the store was old and not very clean, but it was strangely comfortable.

It's old and dirty, but everything is cheap and delicious. I've been going here for decades. Although smoking is now prohibited inside the store, there is a smoking area next to the entrance, so it's a shame that a lot of smoke comes into the store due to the intake air from the ducts, making it uncomfortable. When you enter the store and when you leave, if there is someone smoking, you will be exposed to a lot of smoke.

This is an izakaya that retains the atmosphere of the Showa period, located in the back alley of the station's north exit. I often visit with friends, and you can have a full izakaya menu such as sashimi, yakitori, fried food, horse sashimi, and skewers. There are also other unusual snacks. It's really delicious no matter what you get. It's easy for even one person to enter, so I'd like to continue going there.
