More Comments at Google MapThis is my favorite store, but it will be closed on July 16, 2023. Since I've moved away from Akitsu, I don't have many chances to go, but I hope I can go one more time (´・Д・)” ・First bonito sashimi (725 yen) ・ Seafood salad (748 yen) ・Boiled sablefish (935 yen) ・Yakitori (253 yen) Beautiful first bonito, seafood salad that I always order without mayonnaise, and besides fish, I also had yakitori!
There are two roads between Akitsu Station and Shin-Akitsu Station, and on one of them, Akitsu Naka-dori, there is an izakaya with delicious fish. Isshin Suisan seems to be an izakaya run directly by a seafood company, and I've been interested in it for a while. Pickled squid can only be made when fresh and processed, making it an irresistible dish for sake drinkers. The richness of the liver is soaked in soy sauce, which goes well with sake. There are various types of sashimi, and on this day we had horse mackerel from Nagasaki. It said Showa Nagasaki. It seems to be a Nagasaki company called Showa Suisan. This horse mackerel was thick and plump, and had a deliciousness that was different from Oita's Seki Aji. I don't think it's always available, so if it was on the menu the next time I visited, I would want to try it again. He brought two soy sauce dishes, one for ginger and one for wasabi, and I appreciate his consideration. I think horse mackerel is delicious with wasabi, and I also think that green fish goes well with soy sauce and pepper, like the way you eat saury fish in Kushiro, so I was grateful for this. There was a wide variety of Japanese sake, and it was a sake that went well with the appetizers. I found a pub in Akitsu that I'd like to visit again.
Behind the counter is a large relaxing space with table seats. But there are three store clerks who are keeping an eye on me. Delicious and affordable, it feels like an izakaya without a doubt.
