More Comments at Google MapInteresting experience, definitely worth a try! We came around 9:15 am to get a ticket (we were 3rd in line, at 9:30 when the ticket system opened a bunch of locals actually jumped the line and got the first tickets which was pretty rude). We reserved for 11-12 interval, came back at 10:50, there was a queue of 10 people in front of us. A bit of a weird system as some of the people in front of us had number 20-25, while we had number 7. The Ramen was good. The Shouyo was much better than the Shio ramen in my opinion. We really didn’t enjoy the pork (we actually left most of it as it was a bit raw and very greasy) which was a shame, as that’s a pretty big part of the ramen. The fried garlic was a nice addition (for everyone that likes garlic).
Very well deserved Michelin ⭐ There is a machine to get a time slot for your lunch, I arrived at 12 and got a slot for 1. You can check online the status of the wait-list. The broth is both rich and light and everything is seasoned to perfection. They use a bit of truffle oil that gives a perfect luxurious touch to a Michelin star lunch for 1200 yen. Absolutely worth the wait
Konjiki Hototogisu has been awarded one michelin star for many consective years in a row. Didnt have to wait too long honestly but the queueing system is a bit confusing. When I finally got seated, I received my Special Shio Soba, handmade noodles, bream and clam soup base, a soft boiled egg, extra pork (ordered from a ticket machine), shortly after. It was heavenly. So light, yet pungent with a taste of truffle tickling the tastebuds. An undertone of umami also kicks in (imparted by the porcini mushrooms) when you sip the soup. The pork was also something else. Fantastic ramen if you like seafood and mushroom. All in all, worth the fuss and i think deserving of a michelin star.
