More Comments at Google MapIf you like your ramen thick and tasty, this place is for you. It's a tonkotsu base, and my personal favourite is their miso ramen. It's oily and full of flavour so it makes excellent hangover food or just great for when you're really hungry, especially if you add an egg in too!
When standing by itself, a "blind taste" with price performance rated, it's a 4 star, but when compared to other Ramen stores, it deserves a 5 star. Once you try other famous once, you'll be missing this store. Maybe the service has dropped, but the cooking, the brothy soup, the large servings they give you, will wow you on a tight budget. It's a regular for a working man like me, I'm sure others can attest to it. I find the tenjou quite friendly, maybe it depends on people. For the novice, you can try the salty original or the miso original. Since many places have pork that contains blood, the pork has a bloody stench to it, so the miso will definitely coverup the shortcomings. If you feel like splurging, you can try to Chiasou (pork strips) or even the egg ones. Of course, this is the no frills type restaurant where your sole purpose is to eat and get out, not chit chat with your spouse or bf/gf over the meaning of your life.
english friendly, savory, fatty pork
