Sumida City, Tokyo, Japan｜Matsuya Oshiage

My wife and had our first dinner in this Matsuya. The price of the meal is really affordable. Portion is good and always managed to fill our stomach. It slowly also turned into our place for comfort food. This store opens 24hrs and staff is very polite. We always felt very at home and at peace. Because it is a 24hrs restaurant, even if you feel hungry at very late hour, you can always find a good meal.

This small restaurant joint is located conveniently on a big street and highly accessible as its close to oshiage station. The menu we ordered was good, sorted in order of preference standard bowl, salmon set meal, beef bowl, and beef curry set. Service was prompt and efficient during our visit, and we ate at the back end table of four. Around two third seats was taken during our visit at 8am Tuesday. Last but not least, prices of the food were affordable, even less than yoshinoya, which is why i bumped up the food and atmosphere to 5 stars

Personal opinion.. this is the best affordable fast food chain in Japan. I came here almost religiously on my trip to Japan and the food always taste amazing. Really filling and tasty. Since I love spicy stuff.. I add some kimchi laced with togarashi and couple of their spicy blend peppers.. always amazing!
