It's a small, old-fashioned izakaya with a counter and two raised tables, but it was originally an oden restaurant. A friendly old man runs the business by himself. Oden is Kansai-style, but since it's Setagaya in Tokyo, there's also chikuwabu. My baseless standard is that oden can be evaluated based on daikon radish, but even though I opened my mouth early, I absorbed the Kansai-style soup and ate the daikon radish, which had not lost its shape. You can think that other oden types are also ``delicious.'' As a Tokyoite, chikuwabu is a must. On the day I ate it, ``Kanazawa Ganmo'' happened to be available, so it was also delicious. In addition to oden, grilled dishes such as grilled lamb and conger eel, which are skewered and arranged like green onions, are also delicious. Personally, my favorite is the eggplant grill. The grilled eggplant sprinkled with salt and pepper was soft but tangy and truly delicious. They have a wide selection of Japanese sake, as well as a similar selection of shochu. Since I was served a small bowl of tuna sashimi and octopus as an appetizer, I was worried that it would be a little expensive, but I was relieved that the price was reasonable even though I ate and drank a lot. It seems that young people these days say things like ``Showa-ish,'' but they don't mean something that they already knew, even though sperm and eggs had not yet formed in the Showa era. I was born in the Showa era and lived there until I was young and drank a lot, so I think I have the right to say this, but it really is a ``Showa-era izakaya.'' Recommended.

A bar where you can feel the history of Higashimatsubara. All the rice is delicious. One general cuts and fills. A wonderful shop where you can enjoy at a reasonable price in a Showa atmosphere.

A nostalgic rural atmosphere from the Showa era. The general's cute humanity. It makes me think that there is a store like this in Tokyo too.
