Authentic and cozy izakaya with very fair prizes. It was full when we came in but the 30 minutes of waiting was well spent! It's a classic seafood izakaya with grilled and simmered fish, sashimi and plenty of small dishes to try. They do not have an English menu but the waiter was nice and helped us order a selection of dishes; deep fried small bate, grilled fish, mixed sashimi, agedashi tofu (deep fried tofu in broth with fried fish), steamed vegetables, rice with squid and miso soup. We loved it all; especially the super fresh and tender sashimi! Prizes are super fair, so don't be scared to try a few different things, you won't be leaving with a bad surprise in the end of your meal. We ended up with a check of about 8000Y /65 dollars with a glass of sake, a beer, green tea and soda on the side for two.

Wow. Quite possibly the best seafood izakaya restaurant in Shimokitazawa. Its not too far from the station, less than a five minute walk. Gets quite crowded regardless of the day so recommend making a reservation the day before.
