My favorite neighborhood Yakitori place! Pork skewer is very yummy with their red spicy sauce. Pair it with hot sake and you have a simple satisfying authentic Japanese experience without the fuss. Food is generally cheap, delicious, and hearty. Atmosphere is modest and local, with nice 80s 90s Japanese music playing. We have been faithfully returning to this place more than 10x. Service is quick and friendly as well.

The shop is located right next to the street and easy to find. The interior is a bit dated, but that is the style of the shop. You can also enjoy a large variety of Japanese classical music from various decades, which really adds up to the experience. The staff is friendly and will try their best to accommodate you even if their English is not perfect, but there is an english menu and they can recommend you some sake if you are untrained at it. The food take a bit longer but is worth the wait, it is not expensive and very good. Go here if you want a bit of a more laid back and classic japanese-pub experience.
