Meguro City, Tokyo, Japan｜Igarashi Souko

Was hungry and just happened to walk past this little izakaya after sakura viewing. Decided to give it a try since I have always wanted to go to one. Staff is really friendly. Making you feel extremely welcome. Awesome atmosphere. Food is very good! We ordered a variety of dishes and it all tasty awesome! Menu is only in Japanese and thankfully my Japanese friend was there to help us order. Like I mentioned the place is tiny and reservations are required. We just happen to be lucky to be able to get seats. Overall a wonderful experience!

My favourite minchi katsu ever. They had a store in kamata and when it closed down I was devastated. But discovered they opened this place and immediately came. Amazing! Also had the crab tomato ramen. Normally I think tomato based ramen is very pasta like. But this stuff is excellent! Feels like a super rich bisque with ramen. Excellent combination. Can’t wait to come back and try the other things.

The gastronomic surprise of this trip to Japan, the unremarkable small shop on the side of the road, displayed the original dishes comparable to Michelin, which integrated Japanese food and watercress in a simple way, and the price and atmosphere of the neighbors. The only regret is that there are no English and Chinese menus, so I just ordered recommended dishes, but I didn't expect every order to be a surprise. Another detail worth mentioning is that the boss will observe the speed of our meal from time to time to adjust the speed of serving the food, and ask if we need to add more food. It feels warm on a rainy night in a foreign land.
