Small basement shop in the multi-restaurant building across the street from the station (must be a name for these complexes). Got shut out of this place a couple days back so glad I gave it another try. Justly known for its chicken wings, done two ways, maybe the best I’ve ever had? So light you can hardly tell they’re fried. Also, amazingly smooth home-made tofu with some green onions and crunchy bits on top (this was part of the set starter, which I reordered), some good cabbage with anchovy, and a thin plate-sized disk of a chive omelet, a little runny, very tasty. Excellent shochu, I took his recommendations (obviously), one with soda, one on the rocks. A rare counter conversation with a young salaryman with good English, very engaging. The shopkeeper was extremely kind, with a little English of his own (says his mother was an English teacher!). Felt very welcomed. Don’t be shy, open that door! Highly recommended.

My favorite Izakaya in Tokyo. Best chicken wings and the owner Rui-san is a super nice guy.

I have used it many times. Of course the taste is wonderful, but the general's personality, care and politeness are wonderful. We recommend the chicken wings and the handmade tofu that comes with the appetizer ☆ As for drinks, there are plenty of shochu. The restaurant is managed by one person, so we recommend making a reservation as it is a popular restaurant.
