More Comments at Google MapThe staff were amiable and accommodating throughout our visit. Although the initial server had limited English proficiency, he made a sincere effort to communicate with us, which we greatly appreciated. To our delight, another staff member who spoke excellent English joined our table, enhancing our dining experience even further. They explained the dishes and drinks, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. The quality of the food matched the exceptional service. I was particularly impressed with their innovative use of Japanese ingredients fused with Chinese dim sum. Despite not using luxury ingredients, they managed to create flavours that surpassed my expectations, making the dishes taste like five-star cuisine. It was a delight to indulge in this restaurant's unique and delicious offerings. Sowado provided an exceptional dining experience: the attentive and friendly staff and the delectable food made for a memorable visit. I highly recommend this Izakaya to anyone seeking delightful flavours.
This is a hidden gem. From their amazing selection of natural wines and delicious sake, they are masters at work. The setting is intimate and not to be missed. Reservations may be hard to find but it's possible to get help from a third party. If it's your thing, don't miss the peach sake.
Sowado is a true gem. Hidden away right by a local bridge, keep sight for the Sowado Symbol hidden to show you where the door is. I could share so much about the food service and atmosphere, but this is a prime example of Japanese omakase and odemukai. The care, consideration, sincerity, and flavors all combined make the experience beautiful and amazing all in one. I would highly recommend Sowado to locals and those looking for a higher end special Japanese experience.
