Tadenoha is such a one of a kind place, and you can’t find anything similar. First of all, I appreciate the chef for making reservation easy and fair for foreigners. We booked him through Omakase and there was a small surcharge. We found other restaurants require either phone reservation or use Tableall which have very expensive surcharge so it was nice the chef gave fair chance for foreigners to easily book the reservation. The reservation gets sold out in less than few min so be sure to book it when the schedule first is released. Now for the food, there were so many different courses made out of vegetable and meat we never would have got to try and the chef is not frugal with the portion. We had 12 courses today starting with unknown edible wild plants to turtle, bear, duck, trout and wild boar. My fav was trout like fish and the fish had very sweet taste. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any food lovers.

This type of Japanese cuisine is very hard to find even in Japan. Usually in rural areas where they have a fire pit in the middle where someone cooks up skewered seasonal goods straight from the fire. Highly recommend it if you are bored from other Japanese cuisines and want to try something new. The course is almost always omakase with wild game meat, river fish and mountain vegetables as ingredients. Ingredients change by season. I went during spring summer so we had wild duck and boar as meat, all sorts of wild mountain vegetables as well as softshell turtle (basically tastes like chicken). The course costed 11000 yen which really was worth every single bit. I will definitely come again around October as that is the season of mushrooms where we will get to try wild mushrooms like matsutake and maitake etc... Service was great and only one chef serves all diners in this 14 seater restaurant. So book ahead if you want to come.

A store that is difficult to reserve. I went there at the invitation of a friend, but my next reservation is several months away. As a first-time visitor, I was told that I would have no choice but to start by competing for reservations online. The dishes are served in courses that change depending on the season, and you can enjoy a very delicate yet bold atmosphere and delicious flavors. Inside the store, which only has a U-shaped counter, you can enjoy the live experience of the food. We also have a wide selection of sake that matches the dishes, so you won't be able to stop eating and drinking. It's not an easy shop to get to, but I would like to go there again.
