Nakano City, Tokyo, Japan｜YAKITORI Torikizoku Nakano Shimbashi Store

This restaurant is located on basement level and is about a minute’s walk from Nakano Shinbashi Station. The area offers a great selection of small, local restaurants and although Torikizoku is a franchise it seems to fit into the area perfectly. It definitely caters to locals more than tourists in my experience which is something I prefer but it can be a bit tough for those who don’t speak Japanese. I’m not sure if the offer an English menu or not. The restaurant also offer “nomihodai” for groups of 5 or larger which is a great experience at a reasonable price. Food options are varied and they seem to add some sort of new dish every few weeks or so. I recommend sticking to their “bread and butter” options which is the yakitori style food. They do other types of dishes well but it pales in comparison to their specialty. Considering the price and convenience of this restaurant, I highly recommend it. It’s not your extremely high end yakitori restaurant and it’s not trying to be either. -Good Food -Good Sake -Fast Service -Reasonable Prices 5/5

Not only do they make excellent food with rapid service - we were also surpriced with a shockingly small bill in the end. I would give this place 7 stars if I could.

Perfect to go before heading to town. Cheap beers, good food (aptizers) if you are on a budget. Recomend 100%
