We had a really nice experience here. The owner was very nice and helped us have an amazing dinner despite our lacking japanese language knowledge. The food was stellar. We went a bit overboard and had eel, sashimi, tempura, tamagoyaki and nashi. All of it was amazing! We didn't reserve, just went and got seated. There seems to be a room with tatami mats in the back, as we heard some laughter and orders coming from back there, which added to the nice and laid back atmosphere.

Great atmosphere, friendly owners and good food

Best experience of our trip! I went with 3 friends. We arrived early and there were no other customers. We don't speak any Japanese and the chef (also our server and probably the owner as he was the only person working) didn't speak any English. The menu was also in Japanese. Using Google Translate we muddled through. He was super friendly and we had a fantastic time. He also posed for a photo with us at the end. It was the best!!! P.S. All the food suggested we tried and enjoyed. The total bill including 4 rounds of sake and 2 large beers came to 8,900 yen.
