You might arrive in the rather run-down area near the station and think "uh oh! This is going to be a big mistake". Fear not! The restaurant (downstairs) is newly refurbished, smart and modern. The food is exceptionally good, great sashimi, possibly the best tempura I've eaten, and many other dishes. The chef and waitress are friendly and welcoming, and the waitress knows a lot about nihonshu. Book well beforehand, the table in a partially separated area seats 6, or a friendly 8.

As I was walking to Sakuradai Station to have lunch, I saw a lantern that caught my eye, and I looked up the reviews and it was highly rated. I thought 1,300 yen for lunch would be expensive, even though it was in front of the station, but I was satisfied after ordering. I was very satisfied with 3 types of appetizers, 3 types of sashimi, fried chicken, miso soup with clams, and rice.

I had the bluefin tuna all-star bowl for lunch on certain days of the week. 1800 yen with 3 small dishes and soup Is this price okay? The tuna was so good that I couldn't help but feel sorry for it. It was really delicious
