Waseda University student purveyor? This is an izakaya that is always busy along Meiji-dori. It's open until 4:00 a.m., so it's convenient when you want to have a drink late at night. It is located on the 1st and 2nd floors, and I often go to the 2nd floor. We recommend raw oysters, a set of 8 skewers, assorted sashimi, stamina wasshoi (sashimi, grated yam, natto, raw egg), and tonpeiyaki. Because it is a restaurant mainly for students, the volume is perfect and the taste is also good. Hitachino Nest Beer's Daidai (480 yen) is surprisingly reasonable. Various credit cards and QR codes can be used as payment methods, and transportation systems such as Suica are ❌.
[A real scary story] It's a story about a year ago, even if I remember it now. In Takadanobaba, there is a public bar called Izakaya Wasshoi that I have been going to since I was a student. Draft beer is 180 yen, and snacks start at around 100 yen. In such a shop, such a thing. . . I ordered "Katsuni". Katsuni, which was on the seasonal menu. 480 yen. Katsudon doesn't go well with sake, but I wanted to eat it, so I thought it was just right. So, the staff who came to take the order must have been a part-time worker, and must have studied Japanese quite a bit. But she still has a distinctive intonation, and I knew right away that she was an Asian girl. That's why I ordered "ka-tsu-ni" in a clear and loud voice while pointing at the menu. Then, the girl smiled and said, "Ka, tsu, ni, desune" to confirm. After the katsu is deep-fried, it's seasoned sweet and salty and wrapped in egg, so it takes about 10 minutes, right? Is it about 15 minutes? I waited with excitement. Is it beer because it's simmered? Or is it a highball? I was discussing which one with the old men who were drinking together. And finally, that Asian girl came up to the table with a tray. It's finally boiled! and My heart danced for a short while. . . . . . she put it on the table Not katsuni It was simmered kakuni. . . . . . "Kakuni, Omataseshimashita" She smiled and told me so. But I will forgive you. Wasshoi is a fun shop wrapped in such an atmosphere.
