hidden gem in kagurazaka, serving only a single brand of sake (hakutaka) with perfect temperature (hot sake. no chilled one). traditional snacks and nibbles are listed on a small menu card. guests are asked to speak in a low voice. no beer, no air conditioner, no photo allowed, but unique experience guaranteed. btw, the shop owner speaks english.

Only Japanese Sake. No beer,wine , whiskey and so on.

Ise wisteria is located on the alley to the east after climbing up Kagurazaka and past Yoshikokuji Temple. Like the three major izakayas in Tokyo, this restaurant has an early Showa era atmosphere, and is a place where you can enjoy adult conversation. The menu is full of appetizers that go well with sake. Other people had ordered natto many times, so I was curious and ordered it. I was surprised. Large grains, moderately soft, and sticky. Please enjoy it. The only drinks available are sake, and you can only order them cold or hot. A good restaurant where you can enjoy a drink in a quiet moment. Photographs were not allowed. I will go again!
