More Comments at Google MapTraditional Japanese mom-and-pop izakaya or Japanese style tavern/pub. The food is inexpensive and good. The drinks are mostly what you find in many other locations, but also inexpensive. If you want to see what a real izakaya is like (compared to one of the chains), the this is a great place to visit.
It takes a lot of courage for a woman to go in alone (lol). I wandered around the store for about 15 minutes, but once I jumped in, it was a comfortable space. Perhaps they are used to solo customers, as both the host and the landlady treat each other with an appropriate distance. I had done my research carefully beforehand, so I enjoyed the large Hoppy set with several types of fried chicken and grilled motsu. Fried chicken is definitely delicious! And grilled motsu is delicious! ! There was advance information that the order was for a minimum of two bottles, but they were able to easily provide us with one bottle. And the curry at the end was delicious. I didn't know whether to skip it or not, but ended up adding turmeric rice instead. introspection. I'm usually a sake person, but if I'm here, I'll have beer or a highball. I want it to remain as a Jujo Izakaya forever. I will definitely visit again.
When I first visited the store, I thought it was reasonably priced given the location, but it seems that the prices have been revised recently. All of the motsuyaki were exquisite, the fried chicken was voluminous, and the potato salad that came with it was a delight. I especially liked Kobukuro sashimi. You could choose between vinegar miso or garlic soy sauce for the Kobukuro sashimi and Gatsu sashi, but I tried both and thought the garlic soy sauce was delicious. There was no smell at all, and the crunchy texture and punchy garlic soy sauce made it irresistible. It was my first time to try chrysanthemum oil, Chrysanthemum oil is said to be oil attached to the small intestine of pigs. It has an image similar to a marucho, but perhaps because it was well-processed, it had a delicious taste in a good way. I think Negireba is grilled giblet liver, removed from the skewers, and sprinkled with sesame oil, salt, and green onions, and it was also very delicious. As it is written in the menu, you can only order 2 pieces of motsuyaki, so if you are going alone and want to try a variety of different types, I think you will need to plan accordingly. Next time, I would definitely like to try the beef tendon curry, which seems to have a lot of energy.
