An izakaya restaurant right near Higashijujo Station. I went for a drink by myself around 6:30pm on a weekday. Although it's not a very large restaurant, the seats were pretty full, and more customers came after that, so the restaurant was almost full. It seems like there are a lot of regular customers, but even though it was my first time there, I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. This is what I ordered. I don't remember the price so I may be wrong. Bottled beer Akahoshi large bottle 750 yen Kashira 120 yen Heart 120 yen Abra 120 yen Green onion liver 150 yen Gatsu sashimi 390 yen Shochu High 399 yen Chrysanthemum oil sashimi 400 yen Namero 400 yen I think the total cost was 2849 yen and the seat fee was 130 yen and 3270 yen including tax. Each yen is like a fractional discount. Everything was very delicious, and although the prices were a little higher than the cheap restaurants I usually go to, I found the food to be even more delicious and very reasonably priced. As a smoker myself, being able to smoke is a blessing.

Located near Higashi Jujo Station, this izakaya is famous for its yakiton (grilled pork), and has a nice atmosphere both inside and out. There are tables in front and counter seats in the back, so it's easy to enter even if you're alone. I went on a weekday night and it was crowded with regulars. The menu I ordered this time is like this. ・Namachu 605 yen First draft beer for now. A mug with the Maruba logo. ・Today's potato salad (heap) 539 yen As the name suggests, it is a soft potato salad that is piled high. It contains large carrots and cucumbers, so it accentuates the texture. ・Amberjack sashimi 580 yen, seared sardine 480 yen We had 2 types of sashimi from today's recommended menu. It seems that yellowtail is from Hokkaido and sardine is from Osaka, and both were fresh and tender. Seared sardine goes well with ginger and is refreshing. ・Izumibashi Summer Yago Blue There are three types of sake on this day, and it is one of them. The sake of Izumibashi seems to change from Yago in summer, Dragonfly in autumn, and Snowman in winter. The summer yago that I received this time has a sharp taste, but it was a sake that left a mellow sweetness at the end. I had it with sashimi. ・Kido KID Junmai Daiginjo Yamada Nishiki This is the second type of sake. It is a sake with a fruity aroma and is very easy to drink. It was a Japanese sake that goes well with any dish. ・ Negireba 165 yen, tongue 132 yen, kashira 132 yen, harami 132 yen It's a famous yakitori. It is very reasonable from 132 yen per stick, but each one was big and delicious. The green onion lever seems to be particularly popular, with plenty of special green onion sauce on top of the upper lever. ・Homemade Raw Tsukune 275 yen, Teppo 132 yen My favorites are yakitori meatballs and horumon top shiro no teppo. Tsukune is as big as a hamburger and meaty, so it's perfect for eating. The yakitori sauce is also delicious and goes well with alcohol. ・ Square highball 495 yen ・Legal ♪ raw liver sashimi (low temperature cooking) 1078 yen This is also one of Maruba's popular menu items, leba sashimi cooked at a low temperature. It's plump and has a smooth and rich taste, so you'll be addicted to the flavor of raw liver. If you eat it with sesame salt, the flavor of sesame will be added and it will be even more delicious. ・White set 495 yen ・Ponzu Sour There was a poster of ponzu sour on the wall, so I asked for it without thinking. The sourness of vinegar and the scent of citrus are good, and it has a different sourness than lemon sour. At Maruba, you can get plain sour and a bottle of ponzu, so you can drink as much ponzu as you like. ・Simmered beef tendon! 528 yen Stewed beef tendon, a standard appetizer. It contains a large amount of tofu and beef tendon. The beef tendon broth seeps into the soup, and the taste does not disappoint, and goes well with sake. ・Today's gratin ¥539 We had gratin at the end. I like gratin, but I was happy because I don't see it at izakaya. It was served hot, and it was a delicious gratin with plenty of cheese on top of a creamy white sauce. There is a standard menu, but there are also many recommended menus of the day, so you will be worried about what to order. All the dishes were reasonably priced and delicious, and the restaurant had a quiet atmosphere that I liked, so I would like to go there again.
