Stumbled across the gem. It’s low key, old school, barbecue smoke filled space full of after work patrons. The simple food is amazing and the company enjoyable (at least the people I met). One guy was keen to get rid of me and wouldn’t let me order more. I guess they are popular and a gaijin like me is a nuisance. I was glad to be able to experience it.

Great skewers, why can the meat be so crispy?
