So... another hidden gem from Rui Yoshida's Bar Chronicles. You're greeted with a homely atmosphere and a small-glass of "welcome beer" right outta the canister. Already, I'm impressed and dying to get down-'n-dirty with the scrumptious creations written barely-legibly on an ever-changing menu. Or I suck at reading handwritten Japanese, which is a fair possibility. Make conversation with the lovely staff, who will kindly tell you what's fresh, what's in season, and what they recommend. So I go with fresh recommendations, because I looped around the back-alleys of Ginza to find this bar several times, and you-only-live-once. What I get is an appetizer of dried fish roe, followed by the entrees of a decadent tuna-avocado-salad, a mouth-watering platter of the freshest sashimi of the day, and the most unique blackcod (gindara) that was marinated in a white miso mixture known as Saikyou Miso, which had the smoothness of velvet, the mouth-feel of melting butter, and the taste of a boozy salt-seared fish. Try it soon.

Visited for the first time. I visited Hatchobori "Ichi". On this day, my friend made a reservation after 17:00, so I was able to pass through the table seat smoothly. First of all, we had a toast with bottled beer Akaboshi (520 yen), and we had bluefin tuna (750 yen), octopus (670 yen), saury (? yen), chilled tomato (280 yen), and so on. I had a lemon sour halfway through and enjoyed it for quite a long time (about 5 hours), but the bill was about 4,500 yen per person. Pretty cheap! I was introduced to it by a drinking buddy. The calm atmosphere, the friendly store manager, and the caring store clerk were the best. I can see why it's popular. Even if you can't eat that much, you can order half the amount of sashimi, so you can enjoy it even if you come alone. All the dishes were delicious and there was no disappointment. There are a lot of items on the menu, so it's hard to choose, but the recommended items are marked with a red line, so it's easy to understand. I've become a fan of the shop, so I'll ask again.
