We had a miscommunication about credit card usage at the restaurant. Despite being told it's okay, it turned out to be cash only. With no time to exchange money, the staff kindly supported us in our panic. We ended up paying in foreign currency and appreciated their hospitality. Delicious food and a great atmosphere! ありがとう!

Very high cost performance Izakaya restaurant. Recommend "Kushimori Miso tare"

*English Menu, usually one waiting staff speaks some English - enough to get the order organised. *Good election of food, very reasonable price, great atmosphere, casual and old world charm. *Not for kids, can be a bit smoky but that is part of the atmosphere busy and lively. *Rustic interior, efficient staff. *Highly recommend for an easy night out with visitors to town. Better for small groups, 4 max, as table groups are small downstairs. ?? I think they have a private room upstairs that can be reserved, this is only an assumption having seen streams of business people climbing the stairs on a Friday, and the laughing and noise coming down from there.
