More Comments at Google MapVery good atmosphere. Staffs are very kind. No foreigners at all, however it is not a problem. Food if very good and cheap. The drinks are huge and cold. Always crowded, therefore sometimes you need to wait for some minutes. Very good to bring your friend to know a very traditional and noice Japanese bar.
---As of July 2023---- Ate here again for the 5th time in 8 months. Still a very good place with very decent prices. I still hear it is the "#1 Yakitori place in Akihabara", and it still holds up to that title. You would think, at first glance, that the prices were slightly high, but once you taste what you pay for, you realize it is well worth it. I tried their "potato fry" (french fries) for the first time, and they were delicious. I would wish they served the tarago paste instead of ketchup for foreigners though. Sadly, they were out of the chicken liver today, which I have to admit, is something I was looking forward to here. despite HATING liver in general. They are really THAT good at their food. Still no seats, and now that covid is generally over, there is more smoking in the area than I like. Still a very good menu that deserves at least one visit from locals and tourists alike. Try their tomato+bacon yakitori. Heaven on a stick. <3 Also, still a fun place that manages to make you feel like part of the crowd, even if you don`t speak the language. ----Original Review----- Was in the mood for yakitori, and saw this place was called "The best yakitori in Akihabara" with 4.1 stars. So I gave it a go. Was not disappointed. I think it earned the title. VERY good yakitori. They only have chicken, but it was super delicious (there were about 12 types I could try). I ended up ordering one of each, including the liver, along with their Mega-sized draft beer (about a pint) for a bit over 800円. One of the best yakitori I ever ate. (each one was about 210円), so not too bad of a price. The staff is SUPER friendly too. Unlike every other restaurant in Japan, which tends to be very formal and professional, this one is very relaxed. The staff and customers were telling jokes and greeting each other warmly. (They were patting a marathon runner's shirt/tummy for good luck, after they came back from a marathon). I felt like I was among friends, even though I didn't know anyone, or could speak Japanese very well. (They appreciated the effort, though). I'm definitely gonna come again. The only downside about the place, is there are no chairs inside. So if you want to sit down, try to get a spot outside. The menu is in Japanese, but the title of each food is in Romanji/English, so you can still order, if you don't speak the language very well. Strongly suggest giving it a try, if you have the time.
Great experience standing yakitori bar. good yakitori with not so bad pricings and they had english menu. The last order is at 12 and it's cash only (that's why it has a reasonable price in Tokyo)
