Little TGV is such a cute little hole in the wall. My friend is a train otaku so I found this place for him and it is the perfect place for anyone who likes trains, or even anyone who needs a break from the hustle and bustle of Akihabara. Located on the upper floor in an side road, this place isn’t too busy but there were probably 3 other tables seated when we were there. While Little TGV is a train themed cafe, it is also a maid cafe and this means the waitresses are super friendly and bubbly. We got to chat with the maid and talk about Tokyo and traveling. We talked mostly in Japanese but she had a little base level of English. As for ordering food, there’s a 550 cover charge added to your order, but at the end of your meal, you get a coupon that covers this cost the next time you go. I guess that’s a good way to gain repeat customers. We also had to order at least one drink from their massive drink menu. They had dozens of mixed drinks named after all the rail lines that go around Tokyo. There is no English menu so it was pretty hard to navigate the cocktail ingredients. The drinks were middle of the pack, not too strong but not too weak. As for food, we both ordered the Shinkansen bento that came with a mix of karaage, fried shrimp, potato wedges, and a bit of rice. Many people warn against the quality of maid cafe food, but this meal wasn’t bad. It wasn’t breathtaking, but it was definitely not disappointing. All the fried food was cooked well, not soggy or dried out. I ended up splurging on dessert because I was having fun. The Belgian waffle and ice cream was a nice treat. The waffle was very crunchy. Overall, the only downside is the price. It’s a little too expensive for the quality and quantity of food, roughly 1.5 the cost of this food normally. My friend was very satisfied and expressed his interest in coming again.

I took my 7 year old boy and he really enjoyed it. The girls were so nice to him! Apparently kids get a free souvenir too.
