The best bar/restaurant I visited in Japan, you can try different dishes as the portions are small, the food was really tasty. I recommend trying the warm sake.

It's a historical Izakaya I must say this is a Japanese heritage. Wishing them to keep the building forever. It's always busy so recommend visiting at opening time of 5pm.

Founded in 1856, it has gone through three generations (150 years of history) and still preserves the izakaya from the Edo period. Although the old site was forced to relocate during the Tokyo Olympics, the old buildings were moved to Jianghu Tokyo Buildings to preserve them. The key house is also the prototype of "that shop" where Chihiro's parents ate the food of the gods in the first place in Shenyin Girls. However, the new location has been moved to Uguisudani, but it has been 50 years old, but the Edo style is still preserved! For example, there are only two types of beer, Kirin and Sapporo, and three types of sake, but the ingredients are almost all handmade. Like the marinated soybeans at the beginning, the sauce of the barbecue, and even the tofu in the soy sauce tofu, it can be seen that it is homemade tofu. Here time seems to be frozen in that era, and only the content of the guests' chat is the present. The ancients said: clothes are not as good as new, people are not as good as old. Personally, I think it’s good to have the new in the new, and the beauty in the old. I am very happy to be able to come to "Key House" today, and I have such a happy chat with the mother next door even though I don't understand Japanese at all. This is the charm of izakaya! The point is that I am the only foreigner in this store, and it seems to be a private pocket store that tourists don't know! 😆
