``Akagi'' is a Japanese izakaya with an unassuming appearance, hidden in an alleyway just off the main street, hidden among private houses. I wanted to try authentic monkfish hotpot once, and a gourmet friend of mine gave me the thumbs up, saying, ``This place is absolutely delicious!'' In terms of access, Iriya Station is the closest, but it takes less than 10 minutes from Uguisudani Station. I walked from Uguisudani Station. This time, we had the 8-course Monkfish Nabe Course for ¥7,500, plus a 2-hour all-you-can-drink option for ¥2,400. The monkfish hot pot, which is made with a unique blend of miso, was as delicious as the previous reputation! It had no odor at all, had a smooth skin, and a moderately chewy flesh, and was so delicious that it was gone before I knew it. The Japanese parsley from Akita prefecture that came with the dish was also very delicious. Contrary to the store's unassuming appearance, the prepared dishes in particular are full of creative spirit, with a sense of unmistakable Japanese cooking techniques. I was especially taken aback by the first course, the pistachio tofu. The all-you-can-drink menu has a very rich lineup of sake, including limited edition sake, and is more cost-effective than the price! Unless you can't drink much, I think it's better to go for the all-you-can-drink option. There were no specific brands listed on the menu, so I asked the staff about the lineup, and she pointed to a refrigerator with several bottles of sake and said, ``You can drink everything in there!'' I thought it was worth coming just for the unlimited course. lol We received ``Takachiyo no adjustment origarami'', ``Kikuhime Yamahaijikomi'', etc. This time I went for the course menu, but the a la carte menu also looked very delicious and I was attracted to it.
