Awesome small Izakaya! They were very committed to their food, explaining what each dish is and where it comes from. The menu is only in Japanese and I suck at Kanji, but with Google Translate, it's really no problem. Also, everything we ordered tasted great - I think we could've just pointed at random things and still would've been completely happy.

Great selection of Sake. Owner is from Niigata, so lots of Niigata specialities, but not restricted to such.

A gem-like place located in a quiet residential area. Perhaps because the owner is from Niigata Prefecture, the alcohol is very diverse and unique. The dish is basic omakase, and the price range is 1,500 to 4,000 yen. Unlimited sake refills are also around 2,000 yen, so even if you eat and drink until you're full in the evening, it's around 5,000 yen per person. If you want to enjoy good food and sake together, feel free to come alone. All vegetables used in cooking are organic, and seafood is also sourced daily from a nearby fish restaurant. The menu is all in Japanese, so it may be a little difficult if you don't speak Japanese, but I highly recommend giving it a try, even if it's just using a translator.
