BiBiBi is my favorite restaurant that I’ve been to in Tokyo. I have been here 3 times so far and had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his wife tonight. They are truly some of the nicest people you will ever meet. The food is incredible (the Hokkaido style fried chicken is some of the best chicken I’ve had in Japan) and the prices are great. If you love anime and pop culture their collection of figures is something to marvel at. I’m planning on returning many times during this trip and this will be one of the first places I come back to when I return to Japan again. Looking forward to many more meals here so I can try the great looking food I’ve seen come out of the kitchen that I haven’t had yet!

This was our luckiest pick so that we came back 3 times more. Sometimes we just wanted to have some nice cold beer and guess what, we stayed for dinner. I'll start with the food: fresh sashimi that melts in your mouth, it's probably their exlibris and the owner - Akira - is very keen on highlighting it. There's a lot of starters, hot and cold, that go really good before the meal. I personally like the fresh tofu with spicy tuna or the fried chicken, simply delicious. Now, the space: there are two floors, the upper one is more spacious but the ground floor is where the action is, Akira managing the kitchen and the local patrons enjoying their time. We only stayed above the very first time. If you like Otaku culture you've definitely came to the right place - the whole restaurant is filled with items that span decades of culture from figurines, posters, videogames cartridges, even clothing, neon signs and statues. During our stay, we've seen one of Akira's friend assembling a fantastic Gundam model at the counter and it's now embelhising his establishment, simply beautiful. Last, but definitely not least, the hospitality of Akira: since day 1 he made sure we felt comfortable (him speaking good English also helps!) And wanted to make sure we were having a great time, always explaining the food and if you talk about his stuff he gets that shiny look in his eye and it's just magic. We sat with locals and shared stories, most of them are Akira's friends who also helped us knowing stuff like our names and meaning in Japanese. Super interesting and cordial people. I really can't express how well received we were except saying that we really came back several times. If I had to resume all of this in one sentence, and sorry for the long text, is this: I really felt like home. Thank you Akira, you deserve all your success.

Amazing owner. Full of energy and very friendly. Personally think the food is very value for money. I don't expect to find 500 yen bento set here but rather the price I paid for the meal is cheaper than where I am from.
