Sumida City, Tokyo, Japan｜Isomaru Suisan Ryogoku West exit

Love this place. I know it's a chain, but it has real rustic charm. Fish was fresh. Grilling the food at the table makes a great talking point. Only downside is there isn't a separate smoking areas. Popular with salaryman. Offers good value. Missing it already.

Tasty food and the grill is awesome. The prices however a bit higher (~10%) than written on the outside poster. Still for the 2 main course and the squid (grilled by us on the table grill) we payed 2100 yen, so still a cheap place.

Sashimi was excellent. Very close to Ryogoku Station. Opens early and closes late which is very beneficial for any jet-lag passer-by. It is quite a loud establishment but I didn't mind the cheerful atmosphere.
