Niboshi ramen! Super umani and nicely salty baby sardine (niboshi) based ramen. Some of the thickest slices of pork belly chashu you'll find with a nice heaping of snappy and chewy noodles. Topped with white onion for the hint of spice, and some soy sauce tare to round it out. Be prepared for a small line, wait is short at 15-20 minutes!

This is my fourth or fifth time here. It usually has a queue outside. 9 counter chairs inside, old friendly lady bouncing the door. old school japanese hip hop always playing. this place was recommended by the sugamo michelin ramen guys. the boss chef is always there in the evening and hes a friendly chap. noodles are skinny, chashu is a door stop, finely diced onion and a rich hearty fish stock or subtler stock to choose from, worth the trek, worth the wait.

I used to live above a ramen shop, but because the queue was too long every day, I only ate there twice. It was delicious.
