I had an upset stomach from going to a restaurant the other day. So wanted some light food to have and so we came here. The ramen here is excellent, nice flavour but not the thick broth kind. The pork belly was the right thickness and taste, very very well made. The noodles also has good texture. I also ordered the pork mince rice, which tasted very good and was exactly what my stomach need. Price is reasonable and definitely will come again if I have a chance.

The broth is light and delicious. I loved the depth of umami and flavour in the clear broth, and the flavour transforms to this delicious, fragrant and mildly spicy taste when you add the red spice. You can control the fragrance and spiciness and add as much as you like, or not at all. The pork was very well done and I liked the bamboo as well. I enjoyed the texture of the noodles as well, leaning towards a soft side with bounciness. We felt sick from our long travels, and came because of reviews on the lightness of the broth. We were so impressed that we ordered seconds, and felt very healed after eating. Food was also very affordable. The waitress was also very polite and kind, and explained how to use the machine to place orders, despite us not being able to speak Japanese. We would definitely come again.

Tanaka Ramen discovered and illusive conundrum of how to make a soup that is light, yet flavourful. This is one ramen that doesnt leave you guilty or heavy. The char sui mini don on the other hand is definitely comfort food. The service is efficient, and there is an English menu. The atmosphere is clean and being able to see the chefs is like watching theatre.
