More Comments at Google MapThe ramen was great and served so quickly! The price is adequate too (¥800-1100) for a bowl of ramen which will definitely fill you up. There are some garlic cloves and a press on the table which I recommend using, it adds a unique taste to the ramen. It is right next to the Jiyugaoka station main gate.
Excellent Hakata ramen. Make sure you order 固め (katame) noodles when asked, for a more authentic experience. Gyoza are handmade on site as well. I got a free noodle refill as well. What more can you want.
This is the best ramen IN JAPAN. I’ve tried with all I have to disprove it by traveling all over Japan. I’ve been everywhere and tried all kinds of ramen, including Hakata, where this particular variation originated. It’s the best HERE. Hands. Down. and that’s weird to me. The broth is thick and rich. The noodles are fresh and delivered in wooden boxes daily. The chashu is unique, and slow cooked so falls apart like bbq. Jiyugaoka has tons of ramen, so make it easier to decide and try this place. Tokyo-Jin are lucky to have this place. Get the “Kuro-Kichi Ramen”, you can find it on the ticket machine as the most popular. I recommend ordering your noodles “bari-bari”, pretty al dente so that it cooks I the right texture while it sits in the hot soup.
