Unexpected delicious ramen walking distance from where we stayed. The miso soup was very flavorful and the Char Siu was tasty (a bit chewy).

Ramen has a significant meaning in Japanese culture. It is not just to fill up your tummy, but to stimulate every sense of your tongue and revive the spirit you have lost through time. Hokkaido Ramen has a magical power to make this miracle happens. The most signature dish: Tender thick noodle in spicy pork bone broth. This is the most signature dish you will find in the shop. The spiciness will get you sweating, but the tenderness of the noodle will lead you to peace. The food I do not recommend: I don’t think there is any. I would say just to stay with the popular choices if you are new to Japanese culture. The unforgettable part: I am very impressed by how polite Japanese culture is. Compared to how I experience in most places in western culture, Japanese people can make you feel like home even though you are actually on the other side of the world. Hokkaido Ramen has one of the best services I have had in Tokyo. The friendliness and kindness are just full of the top. Note: The portion is quite small. You will need to order an extra noodle if you have good appetite like me.
