Last time I ate this was more than 10 years ago when they had a store in Singapore and was disappointed when they left but it’s great to be able to find them in Tokyo at their original shop! Food was great and taste has not changed! Soup is thick, meat melts in your mouth, and noodles are hard and chewy. You can also add garlic (free flow) and chilli powder to enhance the experience. The portion is also huge so starve yourself before you go! Price is <1000¥ in general and so definitely worth the money. Overall would recommend!
One of the best broths in the game. Super thick & filling noodles, with a great chew. Make sure to add plenty of garlic. I became a fan of BARIO from their “Tsujita Annex” location in Los Angeles and knew I had to try the original while visiting Japan. I was not disappointed. I always opt for no bean sprouts because the bowl is filling as is.
Bario is one of my favorite jiro-style bowls in Tokyo. Heavy broth, packed with pork flavour and loaded with flakey rendered pig back fat. Noodles are chunky and chewy, allowing a great slurp. Chashu is tender and fragrant, as is the side order of ajitama (egg). Come very hungry, or order the smaller, 200g portion of noodles instead of the regular 300g. Also, no queue most of times.
