Suginami City, Tokyo, Japan｜Fuku-ha-uchi

This place made me feel like I was in some portal to a ryokan in the woods! Absolutely amazing service, sweet staff, and deliciously comforting food. Their house made fruit vinegars are absolutely worth trying too! A great experience.

We stumbled into this lovely little izakaya in Koenji. It doesn't really cater for non Japanese speakers but the staff are friendly and the menu is easy to navigate with the Google translate app. We had assorted sashimi and the gyoza and both were amazing. The gyoza were the crispiest and most beautifully presented I have ever seen. I also had some hot sake in an adorable little teapot. I highly recommend this place!!!
